Welcome to the Grande Prairie & District Branch website. Our area covers the South Peace Region of Alberta.
We are dedicated to encourage and support our members and the public by assisting in family genealogical research both locally and around the world.

Let us help you fill in the blanks with your family tree .

  • Executive Meetings are at 4:00 PM on the second Wednesday of most months throughout the year, at the Grande Prairie Public Library
  • Genies in the Library  offer research resistance with your family tree. You can find them from the times                                        2:00 PM to 4:00 PM every 2nd and 4th Wednesdays in the Isabel Campbell Room at the Grande Prairie Public Library.
  • Check our website for announcements, updates and details on our free monthly hands-on sessions. 
  • Watch for our progress report on grave markers of the Northwest
  • Apply for our genealogical bursary.
  • Browse our genealogical collection consisting of books, obituary indexes, and more.
