Bylaws
The Alberta Genealogical Society’s Bylaws are rules and regulations endorsed by the Society to provide a framework for its operation and management. Bylaws may specify the qualifications, rights and liabilities of membership, and the powers, duties and grounds for dissolution of Branches and or the Society. Bylaws generally provide structure for meetings; selection, removal, code of conduct and duties of board members and officers; guidelines for filling vacancies; the types and responsibilities of committees, assessments and other routine conduct. In whole, Bylaws are essentially a contract among members, and must be formally adopted and or amended.
