Print and Digital Resources
One of the best ways to understanding an ancestor’s community is by reviewing photographic collections, local history books and compiled family genealogies for recorded memories in print and digital format from 20 or even 50 years ago. Learn more about the historical events in your ancestors' area, the land he farmed, the weather conditions, churches and schools attended, health issues, and community and social institutions.
For genealogists who have ancestors with a history in Wetaskiwin and area, we have compiled some print and electronic resources to assist with your research. Many of the following resources are largely not indexed, and several libraries and archives are not set up to do extensive research for you. If you are unable to research onsite, please consider contacting us at the Wetaskiwin Branch › for volunteer look-ups.
