Jo and his wife Judy joined the AGS in 1975. Jo held a variety of positions in the AGS and in the Edmonton branch, including, but not limited to, AGS President, Edmonton Branch President, Tracing Your Family Tree course coordinator, German SIG group leader and Relatively Speaking Mailing Committee leader.
